IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

• Be sure the electricity to the system you are working on is turned off;

either the fuse removed or the circuit breaker set at off.

• Use of other manufacturers components will void warranty, listing

and create a potential safety hazard.

• If you are unclear as to how to proceed, contact a qualiﬁed electrician.

• You don’t need special tools to install this ﬁxture.

• Be sure to follow the steps in the order given.

• Under no circumstances should a ﬁxture be hung on house electrical

wires, nor should a swag type ﬁxture be installed

on a ceiling which contains a radiant type heating system.

• Read instructions carefully.

SAVE THESE INSTRUCTIONS

Before You Begin

Carefully remove the ﬁxture from the carton and check that all parts are

included, as shown in ﬁgure 1. Be careful not to misplace any of the

screws or parts which are needed to install this ﬁxture.

Installation

Important: do not attach ﬁxture directly to outlet box without using

mounting bar.

1. Gently maintain tension on ﬁxture wires and thread ﬁxture loop (H)

to top assembly (P). Thread top assembly (P) to ﬁxture.

2. Secure mounting bar (A) to outlet box with outlet box screws (not

supplied). Thread nut (B) on nipple (C) so that 5 threads are exposed

above nut (B). Thread nipple (C) into mounting bar (A) and secure

with nut (B). Thread screw collar (D) to nipple (C).

3. Using 2 pairs of pliers or chain breaks, open one link of chain (J)

and connect it to the ﬁxture loop (H) at the top of the ﬁxture. Chain

should be opened outward, do not twist.

4. Slide the screw collar ring (F) and canopy (G), in that order, over

chain (J). Open one link on the other end of the chain (J) and attach

it to the screw collar (D) which has been mounted to the ceiling

nipple (C). Be sure to close all chain links completely.

5. A. Use a listed wire connector to connect the ﬁxture hot wire (black

wire, or round and smooth tracer) to the supply hot wire.

B. Use a listed wire connector to connect the ﬁxture common wire

(white wire, or square and rigid) to the supply common wire.

C. Gently try to remove the wires from the connector. If you can

remove the wires, carefully re-do the wiring connection.

6. Grounding Instructions: Connect the supply ground wire, ﬁxture

ground wire, and mounting bar ground wire (pre attached) using the

supplied wiring connector. Gently try to remove the wires from the

connector. If you can remove the wires, carefully re-do the wiring

connection.

Final Assembly

Make sure no bare wires can be seen outside wire connectors.

1. After wires are connected, tuck them carefully inside outlet box and

then raise the canopy (G) against ceiling and thread the screw collar

ring (F) to the screw collar (D) to secure.

2. Install lamps (not supplied).

3. Raise diffuser (K) so bottom of socket assembly protrudes. Thread

washer and hex nut to secure diffuser (K).

4. Place washers over threaded holes of top diffuser mounting area.

Place top diffusers (L) onto washers and secure by threading top

diffuser retaining screws (M) through top diffusers (L), washers, and

threaded holes of top diffuser mounting area.

5. Raise decorative cup (N) to diffuser (K) and secure by threading ﬁnial

(O) to bottom of socket assembly.

système de chauffage par rayonnement est installé.

Assemblage

Sortez l’appareil de la boîte avec précaution et vériﬁez si toutes les pièces

indiquées aux Figure 1 sont incluses. Faites attention de ne pas perdre

des vis ou des pièces qui sont nécessaires à l’installation de l’appareil

d’éclairage.

Montage

Important: ne pas relier le luminaire directement à la boîte de prise de

courant. sans barre de montage.

1. Gently maintain tension on ﬁxture wires et visser la boucle du

luminaire (H) à l’assemblage de la partie supérieure (P). Visser

l’assemblage de la partie supérieure (P) au luminaire.

2. Fixer la barre de montage (A) à la boîte de prise de courant à l’aide

des vis pour la boîte de prise de courant (non fournies). Visser le téton

apparents et ﬁxer à l’aide de l’écrou (B). Visser le plot de vis (D) au

téton (C).

3. A l’aide de 2 paires de pinces ou de tenailles, ouvrir un maillon de

la chaîne (J) et le relier à la boucle du luminaire (H) au sommet du

luminaire. S’assurer d’ouvrir le maillon de la chaîne vers l’extérieur.

Ne pas tourner.

4. Glisser l’anneau du plot à vis (F) et la verrière (G), dans cet ordre, sur

la chaîne (J). Ouvrir un maillon à l’autre extrémité de la chaîne (J) et

le ﬁxer au plot de vis (D) ﬁxé au téton (C). S’assurer de bien fermer

les maillons de la chaîne.

Assemblage Final

S’assurer qu’aucun ﬁl dénudé ne dépasse des connecteurs.

1. Une fois les câbles reliés, les placer soigneusement à l’intérieur de la

boîte de prise de courant. Hisser la verrière (G) au plafond et visser

l’anneau du plot de vis (F) au plot de vis (D).

2. Monter les lampes (non fournies).

3. Elever le diffuseur (K) de sorte que le bas de l’assemblage de la douille

dépasse. Visser la rondelle et l’écrou hexagonal pour ﬁxer le diffuseur

(K).

4. Placer les rondelles sur les trous ﬁletés de la surface de montage

du diffuseur supérieur. Placer les diffuseurs supérieurs (L) sur les

rondelles, passer les vis de retenue de diffuseur supérieur (M) dans les

diffuseurs supérieurs (L), les rondelles, et les trous ﬁletés de la surface

de montage du diffuseur supérieur, et visser pour ﬁxer.

5. Hisser la coupe décorative (N) jusqu’au diffuseur (K) et ﬁxer en vissant

le ﬂeuron (O) au bas de l’assemblage de la douille.
